Hey Crew ! well I’ve finally made it back home to Bali an I’m ready to rock on with baliwaves.com But for now lets get straight into some Bali surf and weather conditions hey. This morning I was down at the beach come first light checking on the Ole Outer Reefs here in Tuban. There were plenty of small waves in the 1-2ft+ range breaking in between Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts. Middle Reef was picking up the best size and had plenty of shoulder high waves coming through. The tide was just passing through the Low at that stage. Wind direction was coming cleanly outta the ENE and straight off-shore here along the West coast of Bali. Uluwatu woulda been producing the goods down along the Racetrack but no chance of me getting down there today, too much stuff to do around the office. Then sometime around 10.00am the wind temporarily shifted around to the West and blew on-shore upta 5knots until 1.30pm before moving back to the ESE and settling in.
I also had a surf report from the once secret location of Keramas from one of the local friends of baliwaves. Tole, our ex-baliwaves Team Rider who now rides for RUSTY was over there with Mr Josh Kerr. Good shaped waist high plus right handers was the call up that way.
Beautiful blue sky and sunshine was the call for the bulk of today. Right now at 5.30pm we have some high blanketing cloud moving over. Wave height on the Outers has virtually remained the same all day, there were half a dozen lucky bastards out at Kuta Reef catching a few 1-2 footers a couple of hours back but no one else out along this stretch of reef.
Ok Friends sorry to take so long getting back home to Bali, but it’s all good now. If your waiting on me to answer your email just hang in there I’ve got a back log of over 200 to get through. I better say sorry to all the people I never got to catch up with while I was in Oz, you lot had better come over here !
Tip of the day: anyone chasing airfares to Bali from Australia at the moment had better get into their local FLIGHT CENTRE and book with AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES. I got a 12 month open return ticket to Bali for AU$580.00 plus tax.
Tomorrow morning I’ll be heading South down to Uluwatu to blow the cobwebs outta my 1000mm lense so make sure ya tune in. For now you can rest easy, everythings gunna be fine from here on in. Drop me a line if your after some cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly accommodation to call home base in Bali, or for any other Bali related info for that matter. Best Regards from the island of Bali, where every day spent on holidays is a perfect one.
Slim.
