**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy surfers, well wave height had dropped down is size from yesterday but still hanging in there at 1-3ft+ on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Not long after I typed up this mornings news the wind shifted further around to the West and stayed on-shore @ 2-5knot. But shortly after 2.00pm shifted around to the SE and back to being off-shore.Right now at 3.45pm I’ve just got back from my latest Outer Reef recon. Kuta Reef was breaking with perfect shape but with the set waves only pushing waist high. Airport left was slightly bigger in the waist to shoulder high range, and by the amount of reef taxi’s parked out there in the channel looked the most crowded. Middle Reef on the other hand was looking pretty good at 2-3ft+, and with the tide still running out should improve through out the afternoon. The sky is still patched with cloud and blue, while the mercury is sitting on 28degree’s Celcius. Looking at the swell prediction charts the Indian Ocean has got everything happening at the moment, right down to another Tropical Cyclone, about the 4th one for 2006. Everythings pointing to some good looking South swell about to kick in some time over the next 70hrs plus or minus. If’n it all stays together we could even be seeing some Padang Padang sized action soon after, fingers crossed. Alright then we’ll be trying again tomorrow, hopefully the wind will be clean so we can shoot ya’s some new photos and video clips. Back tomorrow with more info on Bali’s surf and weather conditions. L8r crew.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day, and a big welcome to the dedicated reef rider crew tuning into the baliwaves this wet Sunday morning. Well there’s gotta be waves out on Bali’s reefs and beach’s but it is still too dark to see em. The rain also recommenced last night and has not let up, right now at 5.30am it’s still drizzling away. The wind was coming lightly outta the ENE at 0-2knot so the dawn patrol crew should have some nice conditions in another half hour or so. We, no I should say Dennis, will be heading out with the 600mm and SLR as soon as the rain stops and the cloud starts to break up. So until later on when we return with the full run down on Bali’s surf and weather have a great day. Best Regards from your best surfing bet to get wet on holidays, location Bali.

A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
