**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers, time for another run down on today’s surfing conditions around Bali. It was with bloodshot eye’s @ 6.45am that I made it down for a look at the ocean. Wave height on the Outer Reefs is still up there in the solid 3-5ft+ range in between Kuta Reef and Airports. Even though the wind was blowing on-shore coming straight outta the West surfing conditions were still pretty clean on Kuta Reef. Same like yesterday, it ended up staying cross/on-shore outta the SSW all day. I was talking to a couple of guys who surfed Kuta Reef and they reckoned “that was the best on-shore surf they have ever had” The tide is heading for a 0.8mtr Low water level @ 10.30am and then running back in for a 1.3mtr High Tide around 2.30pm. Not much difference in the tide range being in the middle of the Moon phase, the next Full moon is locked in for the 7th of this month. The East coast would be producing some good waves this morning at places like Sri-Lanka, Serangan and Keramas maybe even Sanur Reef would be getting some action. Weather wise this fine Sunday morning there’s certainly no shortage of sunshine outside. The water temp has also warmed back up to a pleasant 22-23 degree’s Celcius and perfect for boardshorts and bikini’s. I’m gunna try and get over to the East coast after lunch and hunt up some new photos for ya’s (gotta wait for that sun to get behind the lens..). In the mean time I’ll be loading up some more of Julian’s (Tassie) photo’s from his Indo travels. The lad’s not doing too bad either, this afternoon he’s off to Nias for a few weeks. Ok, so there ya go. Have a good one what eva ya got on today and remember it’s never to late to book a surfing holiday to Bali. Best Regards from the little tropical island where it don’t really matter which way the wind blows to get good waves !
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
