Thanks for dropping in
Not too much happening here on the Gold Coast . There was slight spike in the swell yesterday afternoon and this morning but its really small …………good for a longboard , fish or some “fun” form of surf craft?
Matt Aldridge is in a couple of these shots riding a crusty brown old Simon Anderson single fin. Circa 1970s As you can see he’s having no trouble throwing it up off the lip in these tiny waves at Snapper. Makes you wonder how good it must have ridden when it was new?
Anyway…. The swell is still less than a metre and slightly bigger down the Tweed Coast.
The water is super glassy with SW winds but expected to go NE this afternoon.
A southerly change is expected tomorrow and hopefully will push the swell up a bit
Long term predictions are that this weekend may be a bit bigger but early next week a new swell is forecast
All in all we’re it’s a pretty bad time of year for waves here at the super bank. …..but cyclone season is creeping up on us and it won’t be long before we’ll be seeing some classic barrels stay tuned.
