Hi folks the southerly change has kicked in at full strength today. Its cold, raining and the wind chill factor is right up there. The winds are strong at 15-knot at the moment but predicted to go to gale force by this afternoon.
The good news is the swell is on the rise and it’s slightly bigger today; it should be bigger again this afternoon and keep increasing according to the forecasts over the next few days peaking again on the weekend.
Once the wind gets stronger this afternoon the only place that has enough protection will be the Super bank. Or maybe the Pass at Byron bay,
So it looks like everyone is dragging the rubber out of the cupboard again after last week’s balmy weather when it was quite comfortable just in boardies…….. crazy weather.
Well today as I said is cold, wet and miserable but we should have waves for the next few days
Tune in tomorrow for an update

If you’ve got the munchies drop in to Dee and Paul’s Rainbow Bay cafe and try out there burgers. The best on the coast!! While you’re waiting for your meal, check out some of the photos on the wall and you’ll see some great old shots of some of the locals … famous and some not so famous. Local guys like Mick F, Josh Kerr, Deano and Parko grew up on their chips and burgers.
