Slim Pickings

Thanks for taking the time off to stop by the baliwaves.com for another no-nonsense surf and weather update from the No.1 holiday island of Bali.

This mornigs surf check on the Outer Reefs wasn’t looking real positive at all. Wave height has dropped back down into the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. What swell there is seems to be mainly driven by the 20knot+ WSW wind that’s churning the ocean into a giant washing machine.

Maybe over on the East Coast you might find a semi protected wave at Serangan but I wouldn’t imagine there’d be a whole lot of quality surf or size on offer. To tell ya’s the truth the next weeks forecast isn’t showing much swell for Bali. But if the wind backs off we’ll try and get back down to Uluwatu at some stage.

Tide wise today we had another reef exposing 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00Am and then @ 1.00Pm we can expect a 2.3mtr High.

Weather wise, well except foe the wind we have a hot and sunny day with an expected top temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius.

Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,350 and 1US$=Rp11,150 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
