MORNING SURF UP-DATE

Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the low down on todays surfing and weather conditions around Bali, your No.1, got it all, surfing holiday destination.

This mornings 7.30Am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in down town Tuban was showing some fun sized little waves in the 1-2ft+ (knee to chest high) range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And there were surfers out on all of the 3 main surfing sections. With Airport Left being the most heavily populated.

Surfing conditions today are clean as a whistle here along the West Coast with the wind blowing straight off-shore out of the SE @ 4-7knot.

Tide wise today we had a 0.3mtr Low @ 7.00Am and then around 1.30Pm we’ll see a 2.3mtr High

Looking for a wave this morning I’d have to say that Uluwatu would once again be producing the best surfing conditions on Bali today. But maybe a touch smaller than what was avaible yesterday. If you were just looking for a easy surf then you could also find a smaller wave down along the Kuta to Legian stretch of beach. But more suited to the less experienced surfer. I could also imagine how many un-ridden waves have been peeling off over in G-land since yesterday…

Swell Forecast; well according to the swell forecasters we should be seeing a solid increase in wave height starting tomorrow. The wave period is predicted to jump from an interval of 10 seconds to a respectable 16 second period. So stay tuned to the baliwaves cause we’ll be bringing it all to your monitor.

Baliwaves.com up-dates; Thanks to Scott who is currently over on Australia’s Gold Coast he has sent us some photos and a report from Day 1 at the Quicksilver Pro, and you’ll find that on our Readers Report page. I also managed to shoot a nice body boarding tube sequence and you can find that on our Bodyboard report page.

New Video Clip; I also managed to load you a video clip featuring footage from Balian on the 23rd of Feb.

Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,550 and 1US$=Rp11,750 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.

Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination that’s got it all, BALI, see ya’s here in 2009
