****AFTERNOON SURF UPDATE**** Hello surfers and yes, welcome to our new look baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the very happy little holiday island of Bali. And I do ask you all to bare with us will we get the site working to it’s best capabilities, we still have a couple of small bugs to get out of the system.
Ok then, my first surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban went down at 7.30Am to find wave height had jumped to a much more respectible 2-4ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And even though the wind at that time was coming out of the West @ 4-7knot there were still some nice waves peeling off on Kuta and Middle Reefs.
Tide wise today the first was a 0.7mtr Low @ 9.00Am and then she filled back in with a 2.2mtr High around 3.00Pm
As you can see in these latest photos I’ve loaded up for your anxiety the crew and I from here at Home Base spent the best part of the day down at Uluwatu. And I gotta tell you, if you were wanting to surf some sick sick barrels then Uluwatu was the place to do it today. Unfortunately (for you) I only took my 600mm lens down there so I wasn’t getting as close to the action as I would have liked to. But all the same I think you can get the picture of what was going down at Ulu today.
Surfing conditions where we were all though I wouldn’t have called it as on-shore were pretty clean and smooth with the wind at this stage being very light and very variable.
Weather wise, there were some patches of blue sky but for the most of the day we have had light cloud cover with a maximum temperature of around 29 degree’s Celsius.
Ok then, like I said hang in there with us on the new design cause you know we’ll be doing our best to bring you a little bit more of Bali to you.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
