****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hmmm yes indeed the boys here in Bali were clocking up some more tube time today down at Uluwatu, not bad at all. Our first surf check of the Outer reefs wasn’t showing much signs of the predicted swell and only showing in the 1-2ft+ range again between Kuta Reef and Airport left. So as ya’s can see the boys and I from here at Home Base hit the road for Uluwtau solid in the knowledge that this would be where the best waves in Bali would be happening today.
Arriving at 9.00am to find clean lines hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the head to head high plus range with the wind blowing straight off-shore out of the East. And still only a relatively small number of surfers in the water. Tubes and more tubes was the call on the Main Peak while up at Temples a small crew were also catching some long walled little waves in the head high range. But as the tide crept in wave height seemed to stumble and back off instead on continuing to increase as predicted so we pack up around 1.00pm. By this time the number of surfers spread between Temple’s and the Main Peak had grown to around 70. Driving home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was hardly a ripple breaking on either location.
Weather wise today, it can’t get much better than what we’ve had today. Blue sky, sunshine clean off-shore wind and some nice lines peeling through for the lucky buggers here holidaying in Bali.
Ok folks just a short report but I did load you up 26 photos for you to mind surf and to keep the Bali stoke alive. So get off your butt and get down to your local travel agent and get those tickets to Bali booked today.
Take it easy
