Hello friends and patrons of our Datah Primary School project !
Sorry it’s been a long time coming this last progress report but there’s been everything happening from Motor cycle accidents, months of ceremonies and not too mention my own family life and of-course the daily running of our baliwaves.com (just to name a few).
Anyway I was finally able to get back to the Datah Primary School on the 9th of April and take a look at our latest objective. Which was to have their school assembly area paved, instead of the kids and teachers standing around in a dust bowl (dry season) or a mud pit (wet season). The kids were still on vacation when I was at the school but with my friend and teacher at Datah Primary Mr Wayan Darsana we could still go into the grounds for a look at the paving work.
Religious ceremonies haven’t just been happening here in Tuban last month and it was no different up at Datah. So there has been a lot of down time where nothing as been done, Hindu religion over rides work here in Bali. But I was happy with what paving work had already been completed with the job 70% completed (as per photos). I’ll be taking the last of donated money Rp5,000,000.00 back up to the school within the next couple of weeks, as soon as I get a chance, so the job can be finished.
We still have one Obective left in our original plans for the Datah Primary School and that was to try and get water piped into the school. But that is still on the drawing board for now as it’s the biggest and most probably the most needed item the school needs.
Ok crew thanks again for all your support with the improvements at Datah Primary School, they couldn’t have been done without your help.
Best Regards
Slim

I admire your work guys. Living your dream in a land of ultimate paradise and not to forget about those who deprived of many blessings despite they live in a same paradise – oh, what to say – I am impressed. Respect and good luck with all your efforts.

A few years ago my Rotary Club of St george central in Sydney raised some money to rebuild a primary school – our sydney contact was Adele Baker – is this the same school
