****AFTERNOON SUF UP-DATE****
Good evening friends (or morning for the Northern Hemisphere) and yes it’s time for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions to leave Bali. And once again as promised we have another batch of high quality photos to show ya’s courtesy of our good friends down on the Bukit.
Firstly this mornings 7.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs was looking like wave height was going to increase with a few 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But I can tell you as of this afternoon there’s been no new swell show yet.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean and tidy with a very light ESE-SE off-shore wind that steadily increase up to around 10 knot by midday.
Tidal info for today was saying we had a 2.2mtr High @ 8.00am and then a 0.4mtr Low @ 3.00pm.
I did a few miles in the boat today chasing Spanish Makeral from here in Tuban to around past the Temple at Uluwatu (1 x 8kg in the boat) and going past Balangan at 10.00am there only looked to be a small 1-2ft. Dreamland and Bingin were looking even smaller and not a lot happening at Impossible’s or Padang Padang for that matter. Uluwatu was the only decent looking wave I saw in my travels today with wave height hitting the Main Peak in the 2-3ft+ sector. I should have some more photos arriving from down there shortly but I’ll load them up for ya’s tomorrow morning.
Our daily sms surf report from the G-land Surf Camp was calling for a solid increase in wave height at G-land this morning with double head high plus waves hitting Kongs and the top of Money Tree’s. There were 5 surfers catching waves at Kongs at 7.00am
Weather wise today I know for sure it was damn hot out in the boat ! main ly blue sky with the odd cloud moving over from time to time and top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius. The water temperature is also a perfect 23-24 degree’s Celsius.
Changing Aussie dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find good value at –1AU$=Rp7,900 —
Swell Forecast; Hold onto your hats cause it’s coming our way. Expecting wave height to start getting bigger on Thursday evening and then Saturday into Sunday is looking like the biggest swell of the year, so far anyway.
