****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the start of another surfing week here on the happy little holiday island of Bali. And another big thank you to Hendra and his photo team down at Uluwatu for supplying us with another load of photos taken from both on land and in the water over the last two days.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a slight increase in size compared to Sundays 1-2ft+ waves. Today it’s showing in the 2-3ft with the occassional bigger set wave hitting Middle Reef. Kuta Reef was peeling off perfectly but better suited to the groms today at 1-2ft+. Middle Reef has some nice waves this morning with the 0.7mtr Low tide (8.00am). a fairly consistent head high and slightly bigger sets. Airport Left may improve with the incoming 2.0mtr High set for around 2.00pm, but you can also count on a solid crowd as it does.
Surfing conditions yesterday and again today are pretty tough. Although the wind his blowing off-shore coming out of the ESE-SE it has been gusting up to 20 knot+
Looking for a wave today, well ater checking out Hendra’s photos I’d be heading back down to Uluwatu looking for a little more size and power.
Todays weather is just a repeat of the last couple of weeks, blue sky and sunshine, heading for a maximum of 31 degree’s Celsius along the beach. The water temp has been cooled down another degree or two with the continuation of the strong off-shore wind and currently around 20-21 degree’s Celsius.
Mentawai Islands; Ray from the Kandui Surf resort up north from here has sent us through another information packed up-date on whats been happening up in the Mentawai’s and you can read all about it on the Kandui Surf Report page.
The bodyboarders tuning in today can also find another load of fresh photos on their page as well.
Traffic up-date; I made a run up to Kuta that usually takes 5 minutes on a motor bike but with the holiday traffic invasion it was a knarly half hour hustle. To sum it up in one word I’d go for “hidious”
Ok crew stick tune in again tomorrow and we’ll keep supplying ya’s with the latest info from Bali.
Best Regards
Slim
