Good morning groovers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the start of another weekend full of surfing and weather information live outa your favourite little holiday island of Bali. Thanks to Hendra and his photo team down at Uluwatu we have more new photos from Ulu to check out.
Alrighty then, this mornings surf recon of the Outer reefs was showing a big drop in wave height, backing off down into the 2-4ft range but much much cleaner and straighter looking lines. Kuta Reef was showing in the 2-3ft class (shoulder to head high with te occasional bigger set) and will only improve with the incoming tide. Middle Reef was breaking pretty well as perfect as it can get at 3-4ft being better suited to the morning low tide. Airport Left wasn’t attracting as much swell as KR or MR but will also have some nice ones breaking towards midday. This morning you would have also found good waves breaking down at Bingin in the 2-3ft range on the lower end of the tide. Balangan should be proving 2-3ft+ as the reef gets more water over it. And down at Uluwatu I’m sure you’d still be looking at wave height in the 4-5ft+ sector.
Our sms surf report for the guys over at the G-land Surf Camp were calling wave height to be a perfect 5-6ft. and shaping up for a classic day of surfing at the famous long left of G-land.
Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard and twin share bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
Surfing conditions this morning are clean and smooth with the early morning wind coming out of the ENE @ 3-6knot and will swing more to the ESE-SE and increase in strength by midday.
Tidal info for today reads as we had a 0.7mtr Low @ 7.00am and then running back in for a 2.3mtr High around 1.00pm.
Weather wise we have more perfect holiday conditions along the beach. Blue sky and sunshine is the order of the day and we should be heading for a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius. The water temperature even though it has dropped a degree or two is still very refreshing @ 22 degree’s Celisus.
And don’t forget if your going to be staying anywhere up in the Kuta to Seminyak part of the island you can definitly be expecting some serious traffic delays while the Indonesian national school holidays are in progress until around the 13th of July.
Ok friends have a good one where ever you are today and stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report for the most up to date and accurate surf and weather info on the net (up to 100,000 unique views, around 1,000,000. page visits per month, and still rising).
Best Regards from Bali

Hi slim,
looked across the bay this morning and KR seemed pretty quiet to me. How was it from nearby?
Ku De Ta was pulling a little over head-high with some shape untill the wind picked up about 8.30 and it became a bit choppy.
Friendly scene. I surfed left with only 2 other guys so it was pretty cool.
See ya, Doc
