****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves again for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the holiday island of Bali. Thanks to Hendra Surf Photography down at Uluwatu for todays photos.
My 8.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing the signs of a new swell starting to develop. Slightly bigger out there this morning with wave height in the waist to head high plus range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The tide was still on the bottom of the Low so the only section surfable was Middle Reef. There looked to be at least 15 surfers already in the line-up with wave height a semi consistent chest to head high with the occasional bigger freaky. There’s every chance that Kuta Reef and Airport Left will have a few waves as the tide starts to fill back in.
Surfing conditions were perfect with the wind coming out of the ESE-SE @ 6-10knot, straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu. Wind strength will more than likely increase through out the day and possibly tend a little more to the SE.
Tidal info for today is saying we had a 0.3mtr Low @ 7.00am and then running back in for a 2.2mtr High @ 1.00pm.
Weather wise it’s all good with blue sky and sunshine. Heading for maximum temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that there’s no shortage of waves at G-land this morning. Wave height has crept back up into the double head high class and lining up nicely on Kong’s, Money Tree’s down through the Launching Pad. At the time of the report there was a total of 4 surfers riding Money Tree’s.
For the surfer / fishermen who frequent these pages I’ll have another fishing report along with some new photos ready for ya’s shortly.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp.
I’d also like to give Pat and Brian from www.eventpowerandlight.com.au a huge thank you for there exceptional help for me to be able to purchase a new lap top so these reports can keep flowing. This couple of everyday Aussies not only helped me while they were in Bali but also helped a young Balinese surfer start his own life by helping him to buy his own double outrigger boat and motor becoming his own master in life. Then they backed that straight up by sponsoring another young Balinese student to help his struggling mother who was battling to keep up with his school fee’s. So if your in Australia and you need portable power and light for an event contact Pat and Brian.
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
That’s us for now, so have a good one and we’ll be back with the latest as it happens !
Best Regards from Bali

hey slim, not sure if you remeber me but me and my friend robbie stayed with you for a month 4 years ago (we were about 18 at the time), we then stayed again for another 3 weeks the following year (also with my dad and sister). anyway, these days im a cameraman, not much going on at the moment and i was wandering if i could come over to bali, crash at your place in tuban and spend 4 weeks filming surfing for your surf report? i could also get photos. let me know what you think of the idea 🙂 cheers, george
