****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****

Hello crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for another week full of surfing and weather info straight out of the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And thanks to Hendra and his team down at Uluwatu for todays water view of Padang Padang.

This mornings surf recon of the Outer reefs here in the laid back little subuurb of Tuban was showing wave height to have settled right down into the 3-5ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Kuta Reef while the tide was still reasonably high was peeling off perfectly in the head to almost double head high range. No shortage of surfers with around 25 in the line-up. Middle Reef still had the occassional double head high plus set wave coming through and will improve towards the bottom of the tide. Airport left had waves up to head high plus and also the most surfers on it. Down south on the Bukit I’d imagine you’d still be looking at 5-6ft at Balangan and Uluwatu 6-6ft+.

Surfing conditions are once again perfect with the ESE-SE Tradewind kicking in early and providing clean off-shore wind between Kuta and Uluwtau with gusts of up to 15knot+

Tidal info for today has the next tide as a 0.9mtr Low around the 11.30AM mark

Weather wise we had some heavy rain falling through the early hours of the morning. But now at 12.00 noon we have a clear blue sky. Currently the temperature is a hot and humid 29 degree’s Celsius.

Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,450 — 1US$=Rp9.950 — give or take 50 Rupiah.

If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.

G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves

We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !

That’s it for now folks but stay tuned right here with the original Bali surf report, baliwaves.com, since ’99.

Best Regards from Bali
