****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day folks and thanks all the same for dropping into the baliwaves.com to see if there’s been any changes in our current wave crisis here in Bali. Alas, not to be as yet. Wave height this morning, same as it was yesterday and still way too small. Nothing surfable between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
I did here there was a few waves over at Nusa Dua yesterday up to head high on the sets, but with cross / on-shore wind. This morning at least we had a light off-shore wind out of the ENE @ 1-3knot. So there coulda been a couple of smallies breaking down at Uluwatu for the early risers. Currently here in Bali (11.00AM) the wind is still pretty light but has swung a touch more to the WNW.
Tidal info has a 0.7mtr Low @ 11.00AM and then running back in for a 1.8mtr High around 5.00PM.
Weather wise here on the holidaqy island we’ve got more hot and sunny conditions along the beach. Heading for a maximum temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius.
I was in Kuta last night and couldn’t believe the amount of traffic I had to go through to get there. Until one of the surfers going in on our Special G-Land Trip tonight said it was “Aussie schoolies week”. And that totally explained it as Poppies Lane 2 was absolutely chock o block full of drunk kids fresh out of school whooping it up.
Ok our G-land trip is on and 4 lucky surfers have signed up to be the only one’s over at the famous long left hander situated in a pristine national park. So lets not hear any complaints from anyone about how crowded Bali is, the chance of a getaway was on offer. The trip into G-land leaves tonight at 10.00PM and the invitation is still open.
