****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions here on just about every surfers favorite little holiday island called Bali.
Well yesterday we called a lay day on the surf and I managed to catch up on some moving house chores. We almost did it again today but decided on quick run up to Keramas. My surf recon on Kuta Reef to Airport Left was looking real soupy with wave height in the 2-3ft class (waist to head high) powered by a 20knot+ Westerly. Needless to say the West Coast was another waste of time if you were looking for a wave.
We never got up to K-Mas until around 10.30am to find wave height coming through in the 2-3ft range with the wind blowing cross shore out of the SSW @ 15-20knot. Even so as ya’s can see for yourselves the actual wave face’s were fairly clean. There was a total of 6 surfers in the water when we turned up that peaked to a total of 12 by midday, then by the time we left at 2.30pm there were only 4 left.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.1mtr High @ 12 noon and then a 0.6mtr Low around 6.00pm.
Weather wise today it’s been a mixture of light cloud and blue sky with a top temperature around the 29 degree Celsius mark.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,450 — 1US$=Rp9,100 — EU$=Rp13,150 — Give or take a few Ripiah depending on vendor.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here at Home Base in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$16.00 (Rp160,000) per night (single) or US$19.00 (Rp190,000) for a couple and US$26.00 (Rp260,000) twin share. Then contact slim.
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
