****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on everybody’s favoriye surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a slight increase in wave height but still only producing 1-2 footers between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time (6.30am) the wind was pretty well non existant. But by the time the boys had had their coffee & brekfast it had swung to the WSW and increased to around 7-9knot.
So that cancelled out heading back to Uluwatu. Our next best bet was to head over to Keramas on the East coast and hope that the swell was showing. We turned up at 10.00am to find 1-2ft+ waves and slight cross / on-shore wind. The good thing though was there was only 10 other surfers in the water by the time we were in position.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with some afternoon cloud / thunder storm starting to brew now @ 5.30pm.
Not sure where we are heading tomorrow, but tune in around this time if you want to see what we got up to.
Lakey Peak on Sumbawa, well I’m sure most of you already know that I only really like to type positive stuff for Bali and the rest of the surfing destinations here in Indonesia. Me myself I’ve been over to Lakey’s at least 15-20 times through the early 2000’s, and have a lot of local friends, not surfers, but locals who live in the area. But after posting the story of the knife weilding thief at Periscope’s I’ve since been sent in another tale of fear and loathing from Lakey’s. So once again take care if your planning a surfing holiday outside of Bali’s relative safety net. I’m posting the latest news from Australian Dan. W. into our story section as it’s a lengthy little piece.

Sorry RB, but I never wrote the article, it was written by the person the actual shit happened to. Baliwaves is an information website, we don’t get money off the tourism dept if that’s what your thinking … 🙂 Be nice though……LOL
