****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping by your baliwaves.com for the very latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions here on everyone’s favorite surfing holiday island of Bali. Not to mention all the photos we keep throwing at ya’s !
Well the wind kept blowing all last night and this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was only showing around 1-2ft+of mainly wind driven soup. The wind direction for the record was coming out of the WSW @ 8-12knot.
So after a quick meeting with the crew we decided on taking our chance over at Keramas on Bali’s East Coast. Also knowing that there was another reef exposing early morning low tide there was plenty of time for a hot breafast. We pulled into the car park at K-Mas at 11.00am and the boys were pretty stoked to see waves rocking through in the head to well over head range. There was around 20 surfers already in the water. With a couple of local stand out surfers absolutely tearing it to peices. The wind here at Keramas was also on-shore but still there was plenty of good looking tapering right handers with clean faces.
Just for fun dept; If any of you are heading over to Bali soon and you can name the two surfers featured on baliwaves today drop me a email and win yourself a baliwaves t-shirt.
First email wins ! (only applies to surfers not yet in Bali, just gotta produce your boarding pass ok).
Tidal info for today had a 0.1 mtr Low @ 7.00am and then running back in for a solid 2.4mtr High @ 1.00pm.
Weather wise we started the day off with some scattered showers here in the Kuta / Tuban area. But by the time we hit Keramas it was blue sky and sunshine with the temperature in the low 30’s on the Celsius scale. Now @ 5.30pm the sky is turning a nasty looking grey / black and every chance of more rain this evening.
