****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy crew and thanks for dropping in to see whats happening here on your surfing holiday island of Bali. thanks to our friends at Hendra Surf photography down at Uluwatu for these current photos shot down at Ulu yesterday. They also dropped us off a little bonus, with a handful of photos from Serangan on the 22nd and worth a look. They’ll be in our Readers Report section.
This morning there’s been a pretty big change in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports. At 7.00am there was only a knee high wave on Kuta Reef and maybe the odd 2 footer on Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a hint of East in the wind.
Weather wise to start the day off we’ve got some light cloud cover that should burn off by midday for another hot and sunny day. But yesterday afternoon we did have another thunder and lightning show before more torrential rain.
Ok have a good one what ever you’ve got on today and hopefully we should have some more photos for ya’s later this evening.
Catch ya then.

***AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
And once again, a big thanks for making a stop over at the baliwaves.com for the most up to date surf and weather information here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok, this mornings 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was as expected showing a drop in wave height. But never the less there were still plenty of waves lining up in the chest to over head range. Middle Reef was looking the best early with 3-4 footers and only half a dozen surfers in the water. We decided to wait till the tide hit the bottom of the Low, which was only 1.2mtrs anyway at 9.30am and surf at Kuta Reef again.
We were all happy to see only 10 surfers in the line up with wave height a reasonable chest to over head, peeling off for an easy 100. Surfing conditions were actually off-shore, with the wind coming out of the East @ 7.00am. But by 9.30am it had turned to the West, but only just @ 0-1knot, so it was still smooth as silk out there. The crowd did increase to around 25-30 by the time we’d had enough waves. Now at 3.30pm the wind has swung back to the ESE-E @ 7-9knot and off-shore again !
Tidal info says we had a 1.2mtr Low @ 9.30am and the running back in (only just) for a 1.7mtr High around 4.30pm this afternoon.
Weather wise so far today it’s been great, blue sky and sunshine for the beach lovers. But there’s every chance of clouding over again later this afternoon.
Swell Forecast says that wave height will drop off a touch more again tomorrow (Sat) but there should still be quite a few locations on offer here along Bali’s West Coast. Then Sunday is going to be smaller again, but come Monday and we might get a little bump through the afternoon and still a little bit left over for Tuesday morning. Not much about on Wednesday morning but by the afternoon we should have a new swell and some more solid surf. Thursday would be the peak of it and then backing off pretty quick through Friday.
