****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and welcome back to the baliwaves for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the tropical holiday island of Bali.
Well thanks to our friends at Hendra Surf Photography for this latest addition of surfing photos that were taken down at Uluwatu yesterday afternoon. It was a pretty weird day yesterday, wind wise anyway. First off the wind was coming out of the WSW @ 3-6knot and then around midday it turned off-shore out of the ESE for a couple of hours, then spent the rest of the afternoon coming out of the WSW-SW.
Wave height on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still only coming through in the waist to chest high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Today the 11th and nothing much has changed. The wind is still coming lightly out of the W-SW and wave height is still only in the waist to waist high plus sector on the Outer Reefs. But it is Sunday, and a day at home sounds fine to me. Later this afternoon we should have a new batch of photos in from Uluwatu. So stay in the loop here at the baliwaves.
Looking for a wave today the best chances are going to be down on the Southern end of the island. Uluwatu here on the West side and Nusa Dua, Serangan and maybe even Keramas over on the East side. Through the higher end of the tide the beach breaks in the Padma St area of Legian might also have a few smallies.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 1.9mtr High @ 9.00am and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around 3.00pm. The next Moon Phase is going to be a New Moon rising on the 13th, solid tide ranges starting on the 15th.
Weather wise today it’s been a nice start to the day with plenty of blue sky. I think we will also see some cloud move in through out the day and maybe an afternoon shower. Temperature wise heading for a maximum of around 32 degree’s Celsius (give take a degree or two).
