Macaronis Surf Resort / Mentawai Islands, 21st April ’10

Macaronis Surf Resort up-date, 21st March 2010

Hey Crew
Well here is a quick report for you all.
We have had some very consistent waves here at Macas the past week with waves in the 4 – 6 feet range. Conditions have been great with mainly glassy conditions. Our most recent swell pushed from the South initially, giving us the opportunity to hit Greenbush, located a half hour speedboat ride away.
You’ll see from the photos that the 4 guys that headed to Greenbush with Bart’s and surfed it totally alone… scored BIG TIME. Huge gaping barrels, absolute sheet glass, meant that the Bush was serving up its famed best. Other guests shared with guests from 2 boats at Macas, heaps of waves to go around.
And right now we have a 2.3m long period swell hitting which we expect will create perfect conditions again at Macaronis and Roxies will also be a target spot for us to hit during this upcoming swell.
Of our current guests, 3 of them have extended their trips by two weeks, 2 of them by one week, as a result of the epic un-crowded conditions we have been enjoying.
For the 2 weeks ahead we have less then 8 people booked each week, so if you are after a last minute trip then now is the time to take advantage of the least crowded conditions since this place was discovered!!
If you would like to visit, check out our website www.macaronisresort.com, we look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
Mark @ Macas
