****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com bringing you the very latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Like it says on photo No.1 in today’s gallery we were down on location at Bali’s premier surfing destination of Uluwatu. We were hoping to get some early waves in at Bingin first off, but at the time, there wasn’t much swell getting in there when we checked from the look out at Padang Padang. Bingin looked like it was only getting around 2-2ft+, pretty much the same as Impossibles and Padang Padang.
So we continued south to Uluwatu to find wave height lining up nicely in the head to almost double head high range. But as the tide started to run back in wave height was quickly hitting the double to triple head high plus class on the Main Peak and Temple sections. Around 50 surfers spread through the Main Peak down to the top end of the Racetrack and then another 20 riders at Temple’s. Still plenty of waves for everyone today and no shortage of long long tube rides.
Surfing conditions were perfect through the early morning with a light off-shore Easterly @ 2-5knot. Then around 11.00am the wind swung more to the ESE-SSE taking the sheen off the waves.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.8mtr Low @ 7.00am and then filling back in with a 2.3mtr High around 1pm.
Weather wise it’s been pretty much just hot and sunny all day with a top temperature somewhere around 34 degree’s Celsius.
I’d also like to mention to anyone that’s interested in doing some advertising on Bali’s biggest surfing website (us) that for a special 3 month trial period we’ll give you over 30,000 views per month for as little as US$100.00 per month (valid till June 30th 2010). Try us out and you’ll see for yourself, we can help promote your business.
