****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions here on the always in fashion, surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Today’s photo gallery is courtesy from our good friends Hendra Surf Photography who are located down at Uluwatu. So next time your down there drop into their office and say hello. You can be sure that if you get a wave at Ulu they’ll have the photos to back it up !
Yesterday afternoon I had to go back out for some more sport fishing (Balinese style), once I start it’s pretty hard to stop. Especially when the fish are busting up the surface hard. There’s no drop in’s out there, no stink eye or aggro and no wankers. Anyway, apart from fighting some Tuna and Jacks I also had one eye on the waves as we passed each and every reef break from Kuta Reef down to Uluwatu.
Like the day before there was once again waves everywhere along the West Coast, but slightly smaller. Balangan had some really nice waves peeling down the reef in the head to well over head range. By late afternoon there would have only been 15+ surfers left in the water. Bingin had the usual full house (25+ surfers) on the take off zone with wave height in the waist to chest high plus region. Impossible’s still had a few surfers scattered along the long section of reef and plenty of chest to head high plus waves. There were even a handfull of body boarders taking on Padang Padang in the waist to chest high class. Uluwatu as usual was pouring through in the head to double head high class and 30+ surfers spread between Temple’s and the Racetrack.
This mornings 8.00am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height down into the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the best waves hitting Middle Reef, but there was a solid crew waiting for each one.
Surfing conditions are just as you’d want them to be when on holiday. Off-shore wind blowing hard out of the ESE @ 9-12knot+.
Tidal info for today has a 0.9mtr Low @11.00am and then running back in for a 1.6mtr High around 5.00pm
Weather wise, likewise what you’d be chasing if your on holidays. Plenty of blue sky and sunshine heading for a maximum temperature of 32 degree’s celsius.
Ok enjoy todays photo gallery and I’ll be back again tomorrow with the latest on surfing and weather conditions from here in Bali.
