Uluwatu inside out… 8th August 2010
8th August 2010
****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
As we can see in today’s second (62) photo strong gallery I’ve just loaded, Ketut and I decided that Uluwatu would be the place to find some good waves and good surfers. Stacks of waves on all of the 3 main sections from Temple’s and the Main Peak before the tide started running out. Then the Racetrack section was getting better and better through the afternoon. Head to double head high plus on some of the bigger set waves, with around 90 surfers scattered along the reef from one end to the other.
Weather wise it has remained hot and sunny, currently still 30 degree’s Celsius at 4.40pm. The wind did increase up to around 12 – 15knot+ staying out of the ESE – SE and off-shore all day between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Catch ya’s again tomorrow

****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session with the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the always off-shore holiday island of Bali. Just a quicky this morning as we’ll be back later this afternoon with a truck load of more info and photos. So make sure you check in again later this afternoon.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was looking just a touch more lively today, compared to yesterday anyway. With the tide still running in there were a few small but very shapely waves peeling off on Kuta Reef in the waist to chest high class. A little bit smaller down on Airport Left and Middle Reef should have a few on the afternoon low tide.
Surfing conditions couldn’t be better with a light off-shore breeze coming out of the ESE @ 3-5knot. But we can count on it increasing in strength through out the day.
Tidal info for today gives us a 2.1mtr High @ 9.00am and then a 0.4mtr Low around 3.30pm. Tomorrow see’s a New Moon rising so expect some big tidal differences over the following few days.
Weather wise it’s the kinda weather that you hope for every time that you don’t have to go to work etc. Just blue sky and sun shine, heading for a top temperature between 30 – 32 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
This morning’s sms text message surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be still breaking in the chest to head high plus range on Money Tree’s, 2 surfers in the water 7.45am.
Have a good one
