****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and once again a big thank you for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for the very latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from the friendliest little holiday island of them all, Bali.
Well if we wern’t fighting the morning low tide I’m sure we would have scored more uncrowded perfection again today. At least we settled for perfect waves anyway. I made the call last night that we’d be heading back over to the East Coast of Bali, but this time to the best wave that side of the island has on offer, Keramas. We pulled into the car park to see wave height hitting the main break in the 3-4ft (head to well over head high) range and only 11 other surfers in the water.
But as the tide started to fill back in so did the number of new arrivals. It also wasn’t too much longer that wave height started jacking to a very solid 3-5ft (up to double head high). Keramas today was trying it’s best to impersonate Hawaii’s famous Back Door Pipeline, and I have to say doing a pretty good job of it. I could have loaded a lot more tube sequences into today’s already 56 strong photo gallery, but I’d be here all night.
Surfing conditions as you can clearly see were perfect, light off shore wind and a rising tide. It stayed that way until we packed it in around 11.00AM, by that time the crowd was down to 10 after peaking at over 30 at one stage.
Tidal info had us down for a 0.6mtr Low @ 6.00AM and then running back up for a 2.5mtr High at midday.
Weather wise over on the black sand beach of Keramas it was hot and sunny. Currently now @ 4.45PM the outside temperature is still sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity on 74%. Wind direction is now coming out of the SE @ 12-14knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to have settled back down into the head to well over head high class. With waves breaking from the bottom of Kong’s all the way down to the bottom of the Launching Pad. No surfers in the water at the time of this report (9.00AM East Java).
Traffic Up Date; Well the silly season (high season) is already apon us here in Bali. With a combination of international and domestic school holidays the traffic in and out of the Kuta to Seminyak area is total kaos. Starting from around 2.00PM and running through until 9.00PM. I went into town the other night and even riding my motor cycle the traffic was insane.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning, see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more.
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali
