****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (’99) for today’s “1 click” run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place to come and spend your hard earned surfing holiday dollars, Bali that is.
Ok Ketut and I have had a pretty solid kinda day today, making sure we got plenty of photos and covered as many locations in one swoop as we could. First of all, this mornings surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing a slight improvement and the promise of new swell in transit. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the waist to shoulder high plus sector, with Airports looking the better of the big 3. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind coming lightly off shore out of the SE @ 5-8knot.
As you can see in today’s 66 photo strong gallery we hung out and waited for the tide to start to run out with Uluwatu’s Ractrack section our main target. But along the way we had to make a stop off at the “Suara Ombak” Villa complex over looking Bingin and Impossible’s, not a bad view for the lucky ones camping down there I tell ya. You’ll be seeing a lot more of this view in the very near future !
Then it was time for a little more hard core action on the Racetrack. We arrived at Ulu just after 2.00PM with the tide running out hard for a 0.4mtr Low set for 4.00PM. Wave height at first was a perfect size for the Track with head to well over head waves, and some solid slabs of water throwing out. No shortage of surfers with around 60+ scattered from the Main Peak and down through the Racetrack. We hung out till 3.30PM and decided to call it quits as this new swell was starting to rapidly fill in with the sets now starting to close out the Track.
Weather wise it’s been mainly hot and sunny with the temperature easily busting into the low 30’s on the Celsius scale. Ok tomorrow see’s the Full Moon rising and the promise of bigger waves to come. The charts are also calling for another 2 swells on the way to Bali over the next 7 days. So stay close to the baliwaves or get down to your local travel agent and get yourself a ticket to Bali.
