****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves ’99 (even though we are currently in the biggest lull of the year) and there’s still no change in wave height around Bali since my last up date. Here on the Outer Reefs it’s been pretty well dead flat, except on the reef exposing low tides we have had. Then there has been a knee high set or two on Middle Reef. But for those that are keen to hunt I’m sure you could still find a few fun sized waves about Bali.
At one stage we passed by Canggu pretty close, close enough to see at least 35
surfers sitting on the right hander towards the top of the tide.
This morning we had Kuta Beach Fishing Tournament with some 30+ boats in the sport fishing event. So that kept me busy all day. My friend “Ondel” and myself though we did fairly well boating 13 decent fish with the biggest at 7kg’s. But were soon put in our place when we got to the weigh station and saw what some of the other lads caught. I’ll try and get more on this event and a photo or two for ya’s in the next couple of days.
Weather wise today it’s been a mainly overcast morning with plenty of rain in West Bali with some early afternoon sunny patches. I’d say there’s a very good chance of some more rain again later this evening.
I’m going to get the third and final Padang Padang installment ready tonight and should have that loaded up tomorrow. So at least there’s something to look forward to, cause there ain’t much showing on the radar next week either…
