****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for calling by the baliwaves ’99 for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok it’s been another long but fairly successful day for the boys and I again today. This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs (once the rain let up enough) was showing a small wave on Middle Reef in the knee to waist high plus range while the tide was just about on the bottom of the low. With wind direction coming out of the North @ 5knot, so we waited until the tide was just starting to run back in and bee lined for Canggu.
As you can see in today’s gallery there were some ultra clean little left and rights breaking on the sand bar and river mouth. The sand bar was picking up the bigger sets at waist to head high with 10 -12 surfers on it. Surfing conditions stayed true through until 1.00PM when the wind shifted to the ESE then continuing right around to the SW and there she stayed.
Weather wise last night we had our first taste of heavy rain that started in the early hours on the morning and didn’t let up until almost mid morning. There were a few sunny patches later this afternoon but still the chance of some more rain falling again later tonight.
Looks like small waves forecasted again for tomorrow but hopefully we should see some new swell on the reefs pretty soon so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report.
