****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy good folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (since ’99) for today’s look at surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Early to bed & early to rise, so this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs had wave height still only showing in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Another big Low tide again this morning so there wasn’t enough water on Kuta Reef or Airports but Middle Reef being best suited to the lower end of the tide was peeling off some little waist to waist high plus waves. No surfers in sight while I was on the beach.
Surfing conditions at the time were pristine with only the slightest touch of ENE wind on it.
Tidal information for today has us down for a 2.3mtr High @ 11.00AM and then running out for a 0.4mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Looking for a wave this morning, we’ll with the clean surfing conditions here along the West Coast I’ve bundled Ketut off to Uluwatu with the camera equipment to see what’s going down on Bali’s premier surfing location. It would also be a safe bet to say that as the tide starts filling in Canggu would have a few, and further up the coast at Balian you’d find some. Anyway call in after lunch (Bali time) for a look at Uluwatu today.
Weather wise out there this morning there’s nothing but blue sky and sunshine. Temperature wise the mercury is currently sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity at 84%. Wind direction is now coming out of the North at 0-1knot. Sunrise was at 6.22AM and will set again at 6.42PM.
Swell Forecast for the next 7 days is saying that wave height will drop off a little more through out today. Friday afternoon should see a little swell filling in into Saturday tapering off on Sunday into Monday. Then Tuesday afternoon we will (fingers crossed) see a medium sized swell generating system and a return to over head to well over head high waves on Wednesday.
