****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy crew and welcome back to the baliwaves (since ’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Starting off our day with the morning surf check on the Outer Reefs here in the sleepy little suburb of Tuban. A little more size out there at the time (7.00AM) but still a little too messy from the on shore WNW wind. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left showing in the waist to head high class.
I was going to take a run back over to Serangan on the East Coast to shoot some more photos for ya’s but after a friend phoned through to say that wave height had dropped off from yesterday, down into the waist to head high region with the occasional bigger set waves. He also mentioned that the surf schools were out in force at Serangan. So I decided on giving it a miss. But we’ll be out there on location for you tomorrow, somewhere.
Tidal info for today had a 1.7mtr High @ 9.00Am and then running out for a 1.1mtr Low around the 3.00PM mark.
Weather wise another mainly overcast type of day and right now at 3.45PM the outside temperature is sitting on 26 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity on 89%. I’d say we are in with a big chance of some more rain and possible thunderstorm later this evening. Sunrise was at 6.23AM and will set at 6.38PM.
The swell prediction charts are looking ok for this week with plenty of waves and light wind. Lets hope it holds true.
I’ve also had word from the owners of the G-Land Surf Camp that they will be opening up the camp this month, with the first trip scheduled to depart from Bali on the 12th of March.
