****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (still No.1 since 1999)
for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so welcome to the weekend here in Bali and we’ve got a truck load of new photos to throw at ya’s today. Starting off with a solid 90 strong photo gallery from Keramas yesterday morning. We hit the road for K-Mas around 8.00AM yesterday morning arriving 45 mins later to find only half a dozen surfers on the main break and 1 other lone rider at Carparks. With the tide starting to push in the waves just kept getting better and better, pretty much no stop, while the number of surfers in the water peaked at 15.
We hung out till almost midday and there were still plenty of clean waves coming through, but with the wind now starting to increase outta the ESE. So the lads opted for another paddle back over on the West Coast at Uluwatu. Uluwatu had some nice head to well over head high set waves on the Main Peak and Temple sections. There was also around 40 surfers on the Peak and another 20 up riding Temple’s. With the sun now starting to drop there was just too much glare to shoot any decent photos sorry folks. I’d say by late afternoon the low tide Racetrack section would have been producing some sick ones as well.
Today Sunday the 10th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height breaking in the waist to head high plus region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There was no wind at the time but since then the SE Trade Wind has kicked in with a clean off shore wind here on the West side of Bali.
This mornings G-Land Surf Report from our friends over at the famous G-Land Surf Camp was calling slightly smaller waves over there at 7.30 East Java time. The tide was still too low, but when it does start running back in I’m sure the boys and girls in camp will be in for another good day of head to over head high waves. We also received another disk full of surf and camp lifestyle photos last night and I’ll get them on line for ya’s ASAP. If you want to get over there make sure you contact us and we’ll make sure you get the baliwaves discounted price and save ya’s a packet of money.
According to my new watch the next Tide will be a High of 2.0mtrs at 1.36PM.
Weather wise out there this morning it’s pretty well a perfect day for the beach. Temperature wise right now at 10.00Am the mercury is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is 84%. Wind direction is coming out of the ESE @ 8-12knot and straight off shore from Kuta to Uluwatu.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that 1AU$ equals more or less Rp9,200.
Ok stay tuned there will be more coming through out the day, and in between you can always keep one eye on our Impossible’s Surf Cam for free, anytime you want.
Travel Tips:
1/ Ok boys and girls, mums and dads, this is the most important thing you need to remember when your here in Bali. Dengue Fever is a reality and spread by mosquitoes, it’s virus so you can’t take a tablet to prevent it. Here in Bali it has no discrimination as to who will fall victim. So make sure you have insect repellent with you pretty much all the time from those early morning hours and late afternoon when mozzie’s are out looking for a feed of your blood.
2/ This one is more for the boys and girls, riding motor bikes is fun right. But having a motor cycle accident is certainly not, especially when your on holidays. If you don’t ride a bike at home and if you don’t have a license stay away from them. Lately I’ve seen so many fools gassing around on them with absolutely no idea of whats going on around them it is NOT funny. Have you ever seen a hard core cycilist riding around in bare feet, no shirt or helmet ? Why ? Falling off a bike while your doing 35kmh won’t kill you (not every time anyway), but being run over by the car behind or, on coming bloody well will ! Don’t be a tight arse, get a driver and travel in style.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more. Limited space, so get in early or you’ll be doing it the hard way.
We also have a few “Home Stay” type rooms available for any of our viewers looking for some clean and tidy accommodation here in Tuban. all rooms are air conditioned, including breakfast for Rp225,000 per night, or Rp275,000 for couples. Plus 1 room that’s fan cooled for Rp150,00 per night. Surfers need to apply, party animals head for Kuta.
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali

The picture showing vomen picking up gravels on the beach make me think that all these young men would better push wheelbarrel rather than pulling in…barrels all day long.
