G-Land Surf Camp
G-Land on the 2nd of Sept was a nice day of fun sized 3-4ft waves, the wind started off a light onshore but still with a smooth surface.About 11-30 the offshore trades started to blow and even cleaner faces were available for the few riders out there, just a small crew of about 15,most waiting the arrival of the forecasted swell.
3rd of Sept dawned with thumping swells smashing into the bay, with no -one venturing out at all was hard to gauge the size but it had to be 10ft plus outside at Kongs and similar in size down the line at Moneytrees,a wild and angry swell with water moving heavily the entire way ,was quite a site to see as the ocean unleashed its power onto the reef. Most visiting surfers ventured down to 20-20s where some solid waves were on offer,a little wild but it did clean up some when the offshore wind got stronger.Clean up it did as well as some sneaking clean up sets that all surfers scrambling and testing their lung capacity.
4th of Sept the swell had settled a little but still in the solid 8ft class in the morning with a good offshore wind blowing early. As the tide increased and wind did its job,the swell abated some and waves between 4-6ft with the occasional 8ftr sneaking in.Even outside big sets were breaking on the Bombie.Clean waves were had by at most,34 surfers spread over the entire reef with waves breaking from Moneytrees right thru to The launching Pad,again some of the crew ventured down to 20-20s with reports of good fun 3-4ftrs.We will wait and see what tomorrow brings so keep tuning in to baliwaves.com for all the updates, the #1 site for all Indo wave info.
