****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (leading the way since 1999) for today’s Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the undisputed champion of tropical surfing holiday destinations BALI.
And what a top day she is shaping up for the lucky one’s still here on the holiday island. And backing that up with this mornings 8.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban to see some perfect 3-4 footers (head to over head high) waves peeling perfectly down the line on Kuta Reef. There only looked to be a meelow crew of less than 20 surfers out there and clean off shore wind out of the East. Second Reef was also looking pretty good, around the same size as KR but also offering some rights as well as lefts, maybe another 15 surfers on it. The tide was getting too fat for Middle Reef but all the same there were still at least 10 surfers out there with slightly bigger set waves coming through. Airport Left had the usual number of reef taxi’s parked in the channel indicating a strong crew of
Japanese surfers on it. And I do have to give to our japanese friends for keeping the boat parked in the channel while surfing. Why ? because your a long way off the beach surfing the Outer Reefs and accidents do happen right ! Try paddling to shore and then getting an ambulance if your in serious trouble. For an extra 20-30 bucks you can have the reef boat sitting out there waiting for you, paddle over for a drink and a rest anytime you like. Anyway not as consitent on Airports this morning with more West than South in the swell direction.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.3mtr High at 9.50AM. Followed by a 0.2mtr Low around 3.53PM. We also has a Full Moon rising tonight so we are going to be seeing some solid tidal differances over the next few days.
Weather wise, and right now at 9.20AM the outside temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, with the humidity level on 71%. Mostly clear and sunny with a few patches of cloud drifting through.
Davey has called in from the G-land Surf Camp calling in pretty much the same with perfect head to well over head high waves from Money Tree’s right down to Speedies. Clean off shore wind and no surfers in the water at 6.30AM (East Java time) Davey has also sent us through another in depth surf report and a truck load of photos so as soon as this report is loaded I’ll throw them on line for ya’s.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban this morning — 1AU$=Rp9,835 — 1US$=Rp9,345 —
Ok folks enjoy your Sunday, I may be heading out later this afternoon to try and shoot some low tide waves so if ya get a chance tune in again later this evening.
