21 September 2012- Lee Wilson is awarded, “Best Male Surfer of the Year”. The 9th Annual Surftime Awards proudly presented by Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia was a another party of the year.
The day started with a beach clean up at Double 6 beach and continued till Seminyak beach. The local community came together with Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, Odyssey School of Surf, Rip Curl School of Surf, Quiksilver, Volcom, Jim Beam, Bintang, AirAsia.com, Reef, Oakley, Surfer’s Paradise, Bobby’s G-Land Surf Camp, Rusty, O’Neill, Bobble, Nixon, SOS Supper Club, Dragon, OZ Radio and Pt. Cintya to keep Bali’s beaches clean.
Prizes from the sponsors were given to those who were able to pick up the most rubbish. Once the beaches were back to its original beauty, the children of Yayasan Anak Bangsa were able to enjoy a day of surf at the Rip Curl School of Surf.
Later that night, the awards were held at the beautiful roof top of Anantara Resort at the SOS Supper Club in Seminyak. The night started with a short film screening of the Put Up or Shut Up/ Source to the Sea Freesurfing Tournament.
Soon after, the awards ceremony begun, followed by a fashion show presented by O’Neill, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, Rusty and Reef. The night carried on with a DJ Sukamu and drinks from Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia and Jim Beam, which made the late night activities just a blur.
