****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the real surfers paradise tropical holiday island of BALI.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still showing some nice lines peeling through on Kuta Reef in the chest to well over head class. Surfing conditions were reasonably clean with the wind coming lightly out of the North at 1-3knot. Middle Reef was pushing the head to almost double head high range and plenty of waves also out there while Airport Left was more like chest to head high plus. Even at this time there were plenty of surfers already in the water and a few more in transit via reef taxi’s.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery Ketut was back the West Coast where the Northerly wind was blowing straight off shore. Wave height was a consitent head to well over head as well with something like 35 surfers spread over the 3 main sections.
Our Free to view Impossible’s surf cam is also showing some nice afternoon clean lines peeling off.
Davey sent through his G-Land surf report at 7.15AM (East Java time) calling in slightly bigger waves hitting G-Land this morning, up into the head to well over head high class. Clean off shore wind and only 2 surfers in the water surfing the Money Tree section.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 0.3mtr Low at 3.26PM.
Weather wise here in Bali we did have some more light over night rain and a mainly over cast morning. More sunny patches appearing through late morning and right now at 1.45PM the outside temperature is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius, humidity level is at 66%. The wind was coming out of the NNW early in the peace but around mid morning switched back to the SE and off shore at 12-14knot.
Traffic up date, well I wouldn’t blame anyone for not choosing Kuta as their place to choose a hotel, well surfers anyway. The last week or so has seen some super heavy traffic from Kuta to Seminyak with the weekends not worth the effort to drive anywhere. Unless of course you like sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Hopefully it should settle down by the end of next week and get back to just the normal kaotic type.
Ok then folks that’s all for Saturday but we’ll be back out on the wave hunt again tomorrow for our usual Sunday Session and hoping to find a different location to show. So stay stoked right here on the original Bali surf report.
