BALI
17th October 2012
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (keeping it real since 1999) for another dose of surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Today’s gallery (thanks to Davey) was shot down at Uluwatu later yesterday afternoon while the swell was pulsing through onto Uluwatu’s Main Peak. With the better waves being rode by Uluwatu locals Ketut Pitur, Mada Lana & Wayan Gobleg.
How ever this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here on the sleepy side of Tuban was showing wave height slowing fading out already. With a touch more southerly direction in the waves Airport Left was looking the better option with a very consistent chest to slightly over head high wave. Plenty of reef taxi’s parked in the channel equalling plenty of surfers on it. Middle Reef was slightly bigger again with the set waves in the head to well over head class and again no shortage of surfers out there. Kuta Reef was looking very inconsistent with the set waves in the chest to head high sector.
With a dropping swell and some time on my hands looks like I’ll be pushing the double outrigger down tomorrow morning and drag some lures.
Hey has anyone out there got an un cut or cut version of “Sea of Darkness”
The baliwaves FREE to view Impossible’s Surf Cam was also showing some nice little lines peeling off on this mornings low tide and I’m sure it will be on down there again on the afternoon low, check it out !
Surfing conditions today are as clean as it gets with the Tradewind fanning the West Coast with a ESE off shore wind gusting up to 10-12knot.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a reef exposing 0.2mtr Low at 4.45PM
Weather wise here in Tuban and at 11.30AM the outside temperature is sitting on 32 degree’s Celsius. Pretty much nothing but blue sky and a top day for the beach lovers here on vacation.
This mornings G-Land Surf Report from the G-Land Surf Camp came through at 7.45AM and went like this “5-6ft south west with more south than west direction today. Kongs and MoneyTree’s looking good on the tide, Launch Pad will be on ! Off shore wind just starting to pick up so another perfect day of surfing coming our way here in G-Land. No surfers in the water at this point in time.
