BALI
15th -16th October 2012
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping it real and original since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the without a doubt best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar destination of BALI.
Yesterday the 15th and there wasn’t too much happening in the way of serious surfing so the boys and I decided on heading down to Padma St in Legian (Bali’s best stretch of beach breaks). As it shows in this photo gallery we were not let down with super consistent little 2-2ft+ peeling left and right hand waves. Clean off shore wind and only low numbers in the surf and good vibes. Late yesterday afternoon there did appear to be a slight new pulse in wave height on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban.
Now this morning the 16th and my 8.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing some beautiful new lines showing in the 3-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Kuta Reef was the place to be with head to over head perfect waves peeling and bending down the line. No shortage of surfers out there at the time but plenty of waves coming through to balance it out.
Ketut has taken the camera equipment over to Keramas this morning to record the final events of this years OAKLEY WORLD PRO JUNIOR surfing event. He did call through earlier to tell of good clean waves hitting Keramas in the chest to head high plus region. We’ll get Ketut’s handwork up on line for you all later this afternoon.
Our baliwaves.com FREE SURF CAM featuring the Impossible’s line up is also showing some nice lines peeling off and is only going to be improving through this afternoons low tide, check it out.
Today’s G-land Surf Report thanks to the G-Land Surf Camp reads like this “5-6foot south west Kongs to bottom of Money’s, wind is light off shore. A total of 5 surfers on Money Tree’s catching perfect waves”
Contact us if you want to get over there for the end of season session and we’ll sling you a solid 15% discount off any advertised camp package.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 0.2mtr Low at 4.08PM.
Weather wise outside it’s a classic sunny day here on the holiday island with the outside temperature currently sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming hard out of the East at 12-15knot.
