BALI
6th – 7th October 2013
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) this fin Monday morning for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Yesterday the 6th with our morning surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a slight increase in wave height but unfortunately the wind direction was coming out of the NW and the tide just starting it’s run in. So as it shows in our current photo gallery we took a quick run over to Serangan on Bali’s East side. Arriving around 7.00AM to find wave height a real nice fun sized chest to head high with some bonus over head set waves. The other big bonus was that the wind was light off shore and only 6 other surfers in the water at the time.
Yeah it was a real nice change for my crew to be surfing with out the usual East Coast crowds at the usual location. Serangan was peeling off both left and right handers and even a lot of un ridden waves going through. But, as the tide filled in and the wind strated to turn on shore at 10.30AM the late arrivals started turning up. As we pulled out of there there would have been close to 35 surfers in the water.
Weather wise, just another hot and sunny day in paradise.
While me and the boys were chilling out over at Serangan Ketut was up along the Kuta Beach breaks checking out the action at Grom Fest finals with our 600mm lens. So if you want to check out some of the up and coming next generation of Indonesian surfers take a peak in our Readers Report page.
Yesterday I didn’t get a chance to get this stuff on line as I had totally forgotten it was NRL grand final time and I was only just in time to turn on the telly to catch my team lose, bad luck for the Sea Eagle’s and well won for the Roosters.
Today the 7th and we do have another spike in wave height with the Outer Reefs here in Tuban showing wave height in the 2-4ft class between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Again this mornings wind was light out of the NW but predicted to swing further around to the SSW as the day goes on. My crew has opted for a quick paddle out at Middle Reef. I’ve also just had a look at our Web Cam that’s set up and pointed at the end section of Impossible’s. It’s showing wave height down there in the 2-4ft range but also with the wind on shore and there are surfers in the water.
Weather wise today it’s a mostly hot and sunny day out side with a couple of clouds floating around. Right now at 10.30AM the wind is out of the NW – WNW at 8mph. Our outside temperature has the mercury sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 75%. Today’s sun set will go down at 6.14pm.
