BALI
25th November 2013
Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (taking a day off whenever we can, since 1999) for the latest news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place to spend your hard earned vacation, Bali.
Ok so as you can guess (I’m hoping) that the last couple of days our wave situation has been at almost critical level. I mean, well there has been a few small waves but nothing of the usual Bali high standard. But today there seemed to be a small spike on our early morning surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Actually around 2-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind light out of the NW.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery the boys and I took a drive up the West Coast to see if there was anything happening at Canggu. We never arrived until 8.45AM just as the tide was starting to run back in, finding wave height in the 2-2ft+ range on all 3 different sections. But by this time the wind had swung to the S-SW. It wasn’t long before the Southerly kicked in and we though it was all over. But lucky enough the wind dropped away to nothing, and combining with more tide we had a golden hour and a half of 2-3 footers with clean and glassy conditions.
Weather wise, well for now the Wet Season has kicked in hard. Lots of cloud and rain the last few days and not the most ideal wind direction. But hopefully soon enough we will get a little reprive, better wind and more sunshine.

Hi everyone I’m just one of your average kooks that has no friends and lots of false email addresses, I might also have a drug problem, definitely faked up in the brain. My only purpose in life is to get up everyday and try and disturb the crew at baliwaves.com. Why because I’m sick in the brain and nothing else to do. Don’t bother emailing me back becuase this is a fake email address I’m so clever….
