19th – 20th March 2014
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Sorry about the delay folks but not only is my right hand still in a half plaster cast, yesterday afternoon just after returning from Keramas I fell into a fever and went down for the count, felling a bit better this morning.
Ok so we’ve been pretty busy the last couple of days chasing the best waves available for our current guests. And If I do say so myself we’ve done a pretty good job of it. Today’s 60 strong photo gallery is testament to that, the first 40 odd photos were captured yesterday the 20th over on the East coast at Keramas. Then the last 20 we shot down at Bali’s premier location of Uluwatu when wave height was all but gone on the 19th.
Yesterday the 20th we pulled into the car park at Keramas just as the rain was letting up to see some absolute perfect and solid 3-4ft waves peeling from the inside section right across to the end section and only 15 surfers in the water. It wasn’t the most ideal conditions for shooting photos unfortunately due to the weather but we did do our best for ya’s. You can see the contrast compared to the Uluwatu photos we shot under a blue sky.
This morning the 21st and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing 2-2ft+ high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the NE. The tide was also on the bottom of the low so Middle Reef was where the waves were best.
The next tide today is going to be a 2.4mtr High around 12.30PM
Weather wise outside it’s not looking too bad with a mostly blue sky and a light and variable wind at 9.15AM. There is some cloud banks down to the South from here but lets hope they stay down there.
Ketut has taken the camera equipment back over to the East coast this morning to see what’s going down. He has phoned in calling wave height a very clean chest to head high with a strong off shore wind. 20 surfers already in the water on the main break, 6 surfers in front of the car park and another handful down at Charlies.
Also for all you people here in Bali constantly talking about the dirty beaches you had better turn up and actually do something at the big beach clean up day this Saturday. Meeting will be at the Turtle conservation center at Kuta Beach, also up at the Padma Beach car park and at Jimburan beach. So turn up for an hour or two and make your contribution to keeping Bali’s beaches beautiful
We also have another new beautiful ex-pat owned Villa listed in our real estate section going for an un believable price, so if your thinking of changing your lifestyle or investing make sure you check it out here. The owner has also just cut a ridiculous amount of $20,000 off the price for a quick sale.
