BALI
11th May 2014
Hi everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Another early start for my crew today and we were in transit by 6.15AM. Our first surf check was at Secrets. No one out as the tide was tippin the top with clean off shore wind and 2-4ft of swell hitting the A frame peak. But, we thought of another spot we know that might be working so we bee lined there. At 7.30AM there were already 3 surfers out but by the time we got ready and got down there there was only 1 lone rider left. Wave height was a little bit bigger here and the wind pretty well non existent. We hung out until the tide started to get a bit shallow and called it day by 11.00AM.
Ok folks there’s going to be more waves again tomorrow before the next swell smacks into Bali late tomorrow. So tune in again for the start of another surfing week here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.

Hi,
I amis skating in kuta Benesari by my self and looking for sharing waves attendre the right time. My surf lever is intermediate.
What is the best way for my Last week in Bali.
Thanks, Laurent from Switzerland
Sven says
Hello Laurent. Have some honesty – you aren’t anywhere near an intermediate. 2 lessons on a soft top, doesn’t equate to 5+ years of surfing. Oh and mate, thanks.
johannes says
Laurent, I too have scandinavian blood pulsing through these veins. And although my ancestors may have been great ocean going vikings, after 1 month living in Bali and attempting to surf 2 foot half way Kuta I make no claims to being anything close to intermediate surfing ability. Having seen you out there doing worse than me i think you need to take a good long look in the mirror. perhaps even consider breaking the budget and buy some footage off a local photographer – this is a great tool in anazlying where your skill level is reall at, objectively. Hope you had a good last week in Bali perhaps this advice will sink in by the time you make it back to indo. Just some honest chat here, all the best mate.

All you runts can just piss off. If ya ain’t donning ya Binny singlet and burning Scando pus runts then get outta Kuta. Johannes you mad dog, living in kuta for a month. stuff dreams are made of. slay a few dragons in that time mate?
Dazza says
I left my trucking 6’8″ fun board down at halfway on the last SE swell. It got the airbrushed ford falcon on it, and stickered up in unit, jet pilot, alpine stars and fox. keep your leerers open for it
Tangles says
I think I saw you Dazza with that board mate, that you walking down Jln Padma with the leggie on? I was on my 3rd beer for the morning at Posers. Must have been huge at halfways that day cos Padma was solid 3ft. I only remember that board because I got the same things tattooed on me earlier in the day, what a coincedence! gotta agree a month in Kuta is just the right amount of time to soak up the atmosphere of the place..
