BALI
19th – 21st July 2014
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (bringing home the bacon since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favoritre tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so it’s the start of another new surfing week here on the island of the Gods and we’ve been pretty busy trying to track down the best waves over the last weekend gone bye. We started off last Saturday with another session over on the East Coast and the that’s where the majority of today’s photo gallery was shot. As it shows wave height was in the 2-4ft range with a light on shore wind. Crowd wise as the tide kept filling in the numbers kept pouring out of the resort with a peak just under 40 crew in the slightly over crowded line up.
Yesterday the 20th and wave height was pretty small when we did our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. With only 1-2ft+ of wave height showing between Kuta Reef and Airports we decided to wait for the afternoon high tide and have a fun surf down Legian at Padma st. And to all our surprise there were some really fun left and right handers to play with.
Today the 21st and wave height had seemed to pick up just a touch more with 2-3 footers breaking on the Outer Reefs at 6.30AM. So just for a change of scenery we headed down South to Balangan to see if we could find some clean and un crowded waves. Arriving at 7.30AM to find some 2-3 footers peeling off with only 10 surfers in the water. I’ve also loaded up some photos from Balangan in the back end of today’s gallery.
Weather wise it was a mostly overcast weekend but today has been much better and a return to some normal Bali dry season weather. Currently now at 3.30PM the temperature is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 59%. Winf direction is coming out of the East at 10 – 12knot+.
I’ve also got a stack more photos to get loaded up from our friends at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp and the Kandui Surf Resort so stick around and I should get those on line later this evening.
Don’t forget baliwaves is still offering anyone of you a 10% discount on a surfing adventure into Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp and the best waves of your life.
