23rd – 24th February 2015
Hello friends and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves.com (doing what we do best since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happiest of all tropical surfing holiday islands, BALI.
Ok thanks to Ketut for today’s photo gallery that we captured partly yesterday and part today over on Bali’s East Coast. Yesterday was pretty tricky with clean and clam conditions through the early AM then by 9.00AM the wind pretty much did a 360 around the compass stopping briefly at all points.
Today the 24th and this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing waist to chest high waves breaking from Kuta Reef down to Airport Left. Surfing conditions were glassy at the time with the wind only just coming out of the WNW.
Surfing conditions were a lot more stable over on the East Coast as well with light and variable wind. Ketut took our crew back up to Secrets where Tony had a quick 2.5hr paddle pretty much by himself. Then the guys cruised back up to CP’s for a look but the boys were already all over it.
I also checked out another location on the East side today and it looked pretty good with chest to over head high waves and a clean off shore wind. So I think I might drag the 1000mm lens out and blow the cobwebs out of her.
Weather wise it’s been another mostly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with the outside temperature busting into the 30’s on the Celsius scale long before midday.
