BALI
1st March 2015
Hi folks and for stopping by the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happiest of all the tropical surfing holiday island destinations on offer and the place we all love to be, Bali.
This morning we were up early again and making the most of our morning high tide and calm conditions. But I did get a quick look at surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban and it was literally flat between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Clean and glassy surfing conditions between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, if there was any swell.
So our crew headed over to the East Coast hoping to find a little better size with the SSW swell direction. Arriving at Keramas around 7.00AM to find 6 surfers in the water and wave height at 1-2ft+ and a clean off shore wind. As the tide was pushing in so did a few bigger waves pushing the size into the chest to slightly over head class. But as usual at Keramas as the tide peaked so did the crowd and kaos. But we still managed to sneak in a 2.5hr session before it got too out of hand and the wind turn on shore to the S-SSE.
Weather wise it was a mostly cloudy morning over on the East side of the island but when the sun did bust out it was hot and strong. Right now at 5.45PM the wind is coming lightly out of the WSW.
