BALI
5th – 6th June 2015
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on everyone’s favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well sorry for the late post but I’ve been in recovery mode since Friday Night – Saturday morning after having a few quite drinks with “The Man” Peter McCabe and friends down at Uluwatu on Friday night gone bye. But I do remember there was lots of laughs with a pretty tight crew of good folk.
Today’s 70+ photo gallery contains two sessions that we had down at Balangan on the 5th and 6th of June. The 5th had wave height in the 2-4ft range with some lone and clean waves peeling off. The 6th saw a bump in wave height so we were hoping to score it again at Balangan with a little more size. Well it was a foot or two bigger but not the same quality of wave. Surfing conditions could not have been better with a mostly sunny sky, off shore wind and warmish water.
Today the 7th of June and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing 3-5ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time the tide was still low with clean and glassy surfing conditions.
I did get Ketut to take the camera gear for a run down to Padang Padang this afternoon to see if there was anything worth while going down. I haven’t had any news back from the lad, so hopefully no news is good news and we’ll have some more photos for ya’s tomorrow.
Weather wise today it’s been another fine and sunny day here on the holiday island. Light and variable wind through the early AM turning to the ESE by mid morning.
