BALI
23rd June 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the real surfers paradise tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali Indonesia.
Ok so here’s another 200 photos from the final day of the Quiksilver Canggu Challenge that went down over the weekend. Most of these photos were shot by Ketut through the earlier session before I arrived. Conditions were a lot cleaner at the time plus Ketut was using our 600mm lens up nice and close from a different perspective.
Today the 23rd and my crew and I knew there wasn’t going to be much happening surf wise so we just opted for a lazy paddle out the front on Kuta Reef. Wave height between KR and Airports was only showing in the 1-2ft range with a clean off shore wind. There wasn’t too many waves bigger than waist high bu we pretty well had it too ourselves so at least it was hassle free.
Weather wise it doesn’t get any better than here in Bali, just blue sky and off shore wind all day long.
FYI, this is off the track a touch but I just read a front page in the worst newspaper in Sydney Australia about a group of non surfers hiring strippers and getting busted. Prostitution in Indonesia is illegal, even though most of the night clubs are choka blok full of hookers (mainly from islands to the West of Bali). So if your a surfer looking for waves not strippers you haven’t got anything to worry about here in Bali.
Check out the best surf charter boat operating out of Bali “Moggy” she’s a 46 foot long catamaran that can get you and your friends on a custom made surfing, diving or fishing charter to Lembongan, Lombok & Sumbawa. check her out and get on board
