BALI INDONESIA
11th August 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (doing our best to keep you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the best value for hard earned tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well as we were hoping for this mornings surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was indeed showing a nice new pulse of swell. The waves were breaking in the chest to well over head high region, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time 6.45AM the tide was still running in and the wind already light off shore outta the SE. I can also say that car and bike parking space in the car park was at a premium, full house. It also didn’t take the Trade wind long to shift into top gear this morning which would have been putting some chop on the faces by mid morning.
As it shows in today’s 50 plus photo gallery Ketut took another run down to Uluwatu to see how she was handling the new swell and wind. Ketut phoned through at 8.30AM calling in wave height at 3-5ft with a stiff off shore wind. Then 30 mins later he called back saying it was now more like 4-6ft++ and only 30 surfers in the water from Temple’s down to the Main Peak.
Impossible’s also had some lines bending down the reef this morning and I have thrown in a couple of frame grabs from our free to view Web Cam that over looks the swells and reef.
Weather wise Ketut was calling a mainly over cast morning down on the Uluwatu bukit. But here in Tuban we have had a mainly hot and sunny day. Currently right now at 4.20PM the mercury is still sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 70%. Wind direction is SE at 12-17knot, stronger out the back.
