BALI / INDONESIA
13th – 14th October 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you on the ball with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination that’s got a wave for everyone, Bali.
Ok so today’s photo gallery is mainly made up of Ketut’s photos he shot over on the East Coast of the island yesterday the 13th. He was on the scene early to find wave height in the 2-4ft range (chest to slightly over head high) with the wind still light and variable making surfing conditions clean and glassy. But even by 7.30AM at the ever popular Keramas there were already close to 30 surfers in the water, with the local boys tearing it up. It is a really nice wave Keramas but the small take off area does not like a crowd.
While Ketut was taking care of the photos yesterday I pushed our traditional Balinese double outrigger fishing boat down to the water and spent the next 6 hrs hunting for fish, it was good to be out there with a few other friends in their boats and even better that the fish are on close to home with some big Spanish Mackerel taking live baits. Hopefully I’ll get time to write you fisho’s up a full report in our fishing section on baliwaves later this morning.
Today the 14th and our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-3ft range with an occasional bigger set wave hitting the Middle Reef on the run in tide. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind light out of the NE.
We have also been for a run up to Canggu this morning (photos coming asap) to find wave height in the 2-4ft range on all 3 of the main section in the Canggu area. Surfing conditions were clean through the early morning session before the SE Trade wind started to kick in around the 8.45AM mark. The Tradey blows cross / on shore at Canggu. There was also a solid turn out of surfers at Canggu this morning.
I’ve also thrown in a couple of images from our baliwaves free to view Surf Cam situated over looking the Impossible’s line up and there looked to be a few waves happening down there before the tide filled in. Feel free to book mark this link, https://www.baliwaves.com/surfcams/impossibles/
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.2mtr High at 10.26AM
Weather wise outside right now it’s like 50/50 blue sky / cloud, temperature wise at 10.10AM the mercury is already at 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level on 83%. Wind direction is comin gout of the ESE at 9 – 14knot.
Not sure about where to stay or where the best waves for you will be on your next Bali surfing holiday then you had better follow this link and see what we can offer you.
