BALI / INDONESIA
2nd May 2016
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 2nd we were looking for some size and power, so where do you go in Bali. You go straight to Uluwatu. We arrived around 8.00AM to find wave height a very clean head to double head high plus with a light off shore wind on it. There were already quite a few surfers in the water with the tide was running out. Like a lot of good plans that get made, we were hoping to hang around for the early afternoon low tide for some Racetrack tubes. But at 10.00AM the wind slowly started to swing to the West, then the SW then seeming to settle to the South. It was still only light and the waves kept pumping through but not too many barrels. It was around the 1.00PM mark the wind swung back to the SSE then eventually the SE, it had me worries there for a while.
Driving home past Padang Padang and Impossibles there looked like a good crowd spread down the line on Impossibles with 2-4ft waves. You can;t actually see Padang Padang from the road but I wouldn’t imagine there have being anything breaking or worth riding.
Weather wise yesterday it was another hot and sunny one here in Bali
